Anne Molter, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024, in her East Moriches home. She was 73 years old.
Born in New Hyde Park, NY, Anne graduated from St. John’s University before earning her Master’s degree in Education from Stony Brook University. A dedicated and passionate teacher, Anne spent over 30 years shaping young minds of countless students.
In her youth, Anne was a competitive swimmer, a talent that highlighted her strength and determination. In her 40s, she became a lifeguard, combining her love for the water with her commitment to helping others. Throughout her adult life, Anne found joy in reading and gardening.
Over the past eight years, Anne fought a courageous battle with cancer, never letting it diminish her spirit. During this time, she became a proud grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren and recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with her husband, Richard.
Anne is survived by her husband, Richard; her three sons, Bryan, David, and Jonathan; her four grandchildren, Parker, Stella, Emi, and Hendrix; and her five siblings, Mary, Richard, John, and Kevin. She was preceded in death by her parents, whose memory she cherished deeply.
Anne’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
