Alberta Gonzalez-Deyne

Alberta Gonzalez Deyne,94 of Carolina Puerto Rico, passed away on February 7, 2025 in the loving home of her son. Mita, as she was affectionaly known, was born July 11, 1930 in Moca, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Regino and Patria. She was first married to Clemente Roman with whom she shared four children. She lived in Brooklyn, New York before returning to Puerto Rico, where she enjoyed her home, her neighbors, gardening, casinos, and her independent livestyle. Remaining to cherish Mita‘s memory are her children, Hector (Cynthia) Roman, Elio (Fumi) Roman, Alida (Michael) Spaulding, and Wanda Bonacore; grandchildren, Aimee (Jeanpaul), Laura, Eric,Jeremy, Melinda, Daniel, Melanie (Kevin), Jeffrey, MaryAlberta, Christopher, Michael and Matthew; great grandchildren, Carolina and Sylvie; and sisters, Esther (Nester)Pla, Wilhelmina, and Haydee. Preceding her in death is her late husband, Juan Deyne and her beloved companion of 20 years Florentino Cruz .She is predeceased by her brothers, Miguel Gonzalez and William Cordero also by her sister, JosephineCaccavale. We are very glad that she is God’s loving care now.
