Alan G Schaller of Lake Grove, NY passed away on Monday January 20th, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born in New York, NY to Edward James and Concetta Rosina “ Lolli” Schaller. He was the middle child of three sons between his brothers Edward and Arthur. They grew up in Franklin Square Long Island. He graduated class of 1959 from Sewanhaka High School. While riding the F train with his lifelong friend Danny Sarrubbo he met Jaqueline “ Jackie” Carol Gratt.They were married on May 19, 1963, and began their life together. shortly after they moved to Lake Grove, Long Island and made that their home. He was married for almost 60 years until her passing on January 18, 2023. He was a loving father of three children Alan, Susan and the late Christine ‘Chrissy” (husband Jerry). Alan was the proud Grandfather to Amanda, Joseph and Douglas Schaller and Jesse and Nikki Burns. He was also great grandfather to Amara Salinas and Gianni Schaller.
As a father he was warm, loving and patient and as a person he was bigger than life. People were drawn to him. He always had time to say hello or listen to someone’s day. He wasn’t quick to judge and could always find the good in someone. He was known for many things especially his quick Witt. He loved to laugh and to see others laugh too. To know him was to love him and to become a lifelong friend. He was survived by his brother Arthur his children Alan and Suzy, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. He will be missed by everyone who has ever known him
