Adeline E. Brace

Adeline E. Brace of Mastic Beach, N.Y. formerly of Holtsville, N.Y. and Greenwood, DE, age 89 passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2022 surrounded by family and love. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Frederick, her parents Joseph and Angelina Melise, her step-mother Libby, her brother Tony, her sister Liz and her son Frederick III. She survived by her daughter Cheryl and Merton Amuso of Mastic Beach, N.Y., sons John and Brenda Brace of Patchogue N.Y., Edward and Ruth Brace of Holtsville, N.Y. Joe Brace of Dover, DE, daughter-in-law Linda Brace of Dover, DE and Foster daughter Sandra Brace of East Northport, N.Y. Grandchildren Andrea Brace and Todd Matthews of Havre de Grace, MD. Stacey and Jesse Farmer of Mastic Beach, N.Y. Chris Amuso and Vanessa Weinbel of Middle Island, N.Y. Cheryl Ann and Sean Cronin of West Melborne, FL. Joseph Brace Jr. and Hailey Behe of Dover, DE. Edward Brace of Holtsville, N.Y. Matthew Williams of Lansing, MI, and 12 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Retired Suffolk County School Crossing Guard after 17 years of faithful employment at both Patchogue-Medford and Sachem School Districts and St. Jude’s and St. John’s R.C. Church. Proud foster parent for over 20 years. Member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Holbrook Fire Department for over 30 years. Volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America for over 35 years as a cub scout. Den Leader and the craft director for many summers at their summer camp. In Delaware she was involved with the Red Hatters, The American Legion where she was Chaplin and various other clubs and activities. Reposing at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home, 825 Main Street, Holbrook, N.Y. where a religious service will be held Friday evening. Funeral Mass held Saturday, 10 AM at Good Shepherd R.C. Church. Interment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Visiting Friday 2-4 PM, 7-9 PM. In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Adeline’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
