Aaron Gudema

Gudema,Aaron 81 years young of Holbrook, N.Y. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 28th 2019. Born in Brooklyn ,NY, on March 6th 1938 he was one of eight children to the late Michael and Leona Gudema. Raised in Brooklyn where he met and married the love of his life, Geraldine Dolan in 1960. In 1970 they moved to Long Island where he was a devoted father to their 4 children. He was a hard worker who worked many jobs including NYC Transit police officer. He enjoyed living life to the fullest. Loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, Doo-wop music, traveling, ran in 4 NYC Marathons, swimming in the ocean, camping, and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren who were his world. He was very sentimental, loving,caring and generous. Everyone’s Bestfriend who would do anything to help out family and friends. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed, leaving his family with many cherished memories.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine, his son Michael Gudema and his wife Susan, daughters Denise Gudema-Bannon and husband Stephen, LeeAnn Santorufo and husband Domenico. His grandchildren Michael Gudema and wife Wendy, Ryan Gudema, Thomas Gudema, Olivia Bannon, Fallon Schmidt, Eugene and Aaron Santorufo; great granddaughter Ella Rose Gudema. His brother Daniel. sisters, Barbara, Wanda, Sophie and Patricia. Many in-laws and nieces and nephews and bestfriends and next door neighbors Louise and Bob Degaro. He was predeceased by his sisters Virgina and Priscilla and daughter Dawn Ann Gudema, and beloved in laws.
